Bigfork Alumni Association - Alumni Committee

Joan Lester started the alumni association with a group of yearbook students back in 1997. She taught social studies at BHS until her graduation (retirement) with the class of 2004. Over the years she was also advisor for the yearbook, student council, NHS, Close Up Club, and senior class - small school = many hats! She now enjoys reading, riding her Yamaha Majesty, music, hiking and being with husband Jimmy!
Ann McGarry (and husband Mac) had three children graduate from BHS - Kelly '81, Sean '83, and Shannon '85. Ann was a phy. ed. teacher at BHS, the cheerleading advisor and a track coach. Now that she's retired she enjoys her grandchildren, music, gardening, knitting, reading, traveling and keeping McGarry in line!
Virginia Wass '60, had two children who are now BHS alumni - Todd '84 and Toni Wass Moore '89. Virginia's mother Eulah Custer also attended BHS back in the early 30s. Virginia enjoys sewing, crocheting, fishing, sand duning and camping.
Irl Sinclair '52 and wife Margaret (ChiChi) are the parents of Bret, class of 98. Irl is retired from his career with the Federal Aviation Administration. He enjoys walking the dog and fishing! Irl is the president of your alumni association adult committee.
Bonnie Cole '53 and husband Floyd '52 have three alumni children, Floyd Jr. '72, Ray '74 and Rosemary Cole Northquest '77. - and three alumni grandchildren, Jeff '90, Jeremy '94 and Andrea '04. Bonnie retired from the First State Bank of Bigfork in 1998. Her interests lie with volunteerism - director, Bigfork Food Bank; church; Bigfork Valley Villa; secretary, Edge of the Wilderness Community Center; and treasurer, Alumni Association.
Norane Welte Stejskal, '58 is also retired. She is a member of Handbells at Community Presbyterian Church in Grand Rapids, a member of the Women's Bowling League, and an ACS Volunteer. Norane, along with Virginia, is becoming an expert on finding "lost" alumni!
Sandy Anselmo '89 is a sub para-professional at the school. She is married to Gino '90 and together they are happily raising the next generation of Anselmo students! They enjoy numerous activities with their extended families.
