City of Effie March 10th, 2008 Abbreviated Minutes

In attendance: Mayor Matt David, Council Members: Liza Erickson, Lil Black, Bill Hastings, and T.J. Grady See attached for list of community members in attendance.

The meeting was called to order. Motion by Grady to approve the minutes of the last meeting and the minutes of the Public Hearing, seconded by Liza, MCU.

Sewer Project: Lee Bundy with Ritter and Ritter brought a proposal for running the sewer plant. Motion by Grady to request grant funds from Operation Round-up and People in Business Care for development of the ballpark bathroom, seconded by Liza, MCU. Motion by Liza to ask IDC to write a business plan for a municipal RV park which is free of cost, seconded by Bill, MCU. Motion by Matt to hire Liesch as the engineer for sewer connection hook-ups, seconded by Liza, MCU.

The Neighborhood Tavern and its patrons donated $50 to the recreation fund.

There will be a Sled Dog meeting on April 8th at 6:30 at the White Oak Fur Post.

Lawful Gambling: Motion by Grady to approve Resolution 2008-03 for Lawful Gambling at the Neighborhood Tavern, seconded by Liza, MCU.

County Snowplowing Contract: Motion by Grady to approve the Itasca County Engineering Snowplow Contract, seconded by Liza, MCU.

Bills: Motion by Grady to approve the bills, seconded by Liza, MCU.
